Seared Orange Glazed Tofu | Recipe

Seared Tofu


  • 1 package Firm Tofu, drained and quartered
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup dry white cooking wine
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp lemon rind
  • 1 tbsp apricot marmalade
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp orange rind


  1. Combine wine, vinegar, tea, juice, marmalade, sugar and rinds in a pot and mix well. Bring to a boil, mix well and reduce heat to simmer for about 30 minutes
  2. In a separate pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add tofu and cook for 20 minutes. Flip tofu & cook for 10 minutes
  3. Remove tofu, plate and drizzle with orange glaze
